Fibromyalgia And Chiropractics

One of my biggest obstacles in life is having to live with Fibromyalgia. This illness really sucks most of the time. Of course most of us know that to look at someone who has Fibromyalgia, you just wouldn't know it.

We don't look sick. We don't look like we are hurting, or in a "brain fog", or having a hard time concentrating on whatever you are talking to us about.

Well, my drug of choice for this illness is a natural supplement which is called "Thai Mangosteen". It's very much like the juice drink "Xango", but is a little cheaper in price and can be found at GNC, Sam's Club, and even
Walmart occasionally. It also tastes pretty good and works extremely well.

My ex-boss turned me on to this when I was working as a health care scheduler. I tried other treatments, but nothing works for me like this juice drink.

I like to keep up on the latest articles about Fibro. I still could use quite a bit more of something to turn the pain down and the concentration up a notch. Prescription drugs have too many side effects for me at this time.

Anyway, today when I went to purchase a couple of bottles of my juice, there was an article(flier)about Fibromyalgia and Chiropractics.
The doctor is from my home town here in Ohio.

The article states that according to the "National Fibromyalgia Association" top researchers and medical experts are now pointing to the Central Nervous
System as the primary cause of Fibromyalgia. Maybe a new solution?

Researchers also say..."Fibromyalgia is caused by a defect in the central nervous system that changes the way a person would normally respond to pain." they go on...

"Fibromyalgia patients experience pain throughout their body, typically not because there is inflammation or damage in that region of the body, but because the pain signals from that region of the body are somehow amplified, or not appropriately filtered."

So what they're saying is that people with Fibromyalgia feel pain differently. It relates to how the nerves perceive pain and send those messages to the brain.

Their solution? Spinal Manipulation. This has the effect of naturally altering your body's pain receptors. This doctor has listed a few testimonials on this research. But there's more...

Spinal Manipulation, used with brain based therapies; nutrition;lifestyle management; nervelogical exercise and a host of other natural therapies, often return excellent results for their Fibromyalgia patients.

I like the idea of no drugs, which means no side effects.
Often times we take so much medicine that it really just makes us feel worse. We have more side effects than symptoms!

The benefits listed are... decreased pain levels; more restful sleep; greater muscle relaxation; less tender points; better ability to concentrate; and better overall function.

Since this doctor is in my home town, I need to check out
this treatment a bit more. I'll keep you posted on what I find out.
